Anyone holding an Ohio Teaching license is eligible to be a sub teacher.  The current rate of pay is $92 per day.  Persons wishing to be added to the sub list must submit an application, a current BCI report (less than 1 year old), a current FBI report, copy of their teaching license and photo copies of their transcripts. Those persons who hold a Bachelor's Degree and would like to become a sub teacher must also submit an ODE Substitute Teaching application as well as an official copy of their transcripts to be sent to ODE. Certified Substitute Application Persons wishing to become a classified substitute in our non-certified areas such as custodial work, secretarial, cafeteria, aides, bus drivers, teacher aides must also submit a favorable BCI & FBI report as well as the application.  These subs are paid at a rate of $11.42 per hour for custodial, $15.76 per trip bus driving, and $9.92 per hour for all others.
