February 2

In cooperation with our state and local health officials, we continue to assess our Decision Framework and planning for all students to return to Pathway 1A - Traditional In-Person Education.

The Madison County Public Health Department (MCPH) has allowed their advisories to expire and has revised the school operating protocols to align with the Ohio Department of Health's K-12 guidelines for quarantine specific to social distancing for classrooms and school transportation.

Based upon these revisions we are planning for our PK-4th grade students at both Monroe and Plain City Elementary Schools to return five days per week to full-time, In-Person Education beginning Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

We continue to evaluate our return to school plans for students attending Canaan Middle, Junior High and High School but have not finalized and anticipated return date. The logistics and potential for returning to full time education will be discussed during the School Board Meeting on February 8, 2021. This meeting will be live streamed on the JAHS Livestream YouTube Channel at 5:30pm.

Our goal remains for our students and staff to return safely and hopefully remain in school.

Thank you for your continued flexibility and support.
