Mrs. Boyd graduated from Jonathan Alder High School in 1970. After graduation, she attended Ashland University majoring in Education. She retired from the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation after 36 years of service. She believes it has been and continues to be an honor to serve the community as a Board Member.
Her greatest joy and accomplishment has been raising her two children with her husband of 44 years, Don, who is an Alder graduate. Her children, Chris and Heather, both graduated from JAHS as well. She enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, Keegan, and her nephew, Chase, who lives with them and recently graduated from Alder. She especially enjoys occasional overnight Mother/Daughter time with her daughter who moved to Centerville after graduating college.
Mrs. Boyd's other interests include attending JA activities and functions, volunteering at the schools within the district, going to the Madison County Fair, traveling, and spending time with family and friends and their dog and cat. She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plain City.
