Attached you will find a Public Information Release from the Madison Public Health Department directing schools to close their buildings to students and activities and, therefore, use virtual/remote learning. As a result, all Jonathan Alder Schools will transition to Pathway 1C - 100% Online Learning beginning Monday, November 30 through Friday, January 1, 2021.
Our teachers will use Monday, November 30 as a transition day to prepare for remote learning, content delivery, and team planning. All PK-12 students will begin Online Instruction on Tuesday, December 1.
In the coming weeks, this directive will be reevaluated by MCPH Department as we continue to monitor the evolving conditions of the pandemic and local transmission rates in determining how our students will return safely to school in January.
Expect more information from your building principal regarding remote learning expectations, student daily schedules, device and technology accessibility and grab-n-go meal distribution.
We want more than anything to reopen our buildings and get students back into classrooms on January 4th, but we need your help. Your cooperation in adhering to the safety protocols of regular hand washing, wearing masks and social distancing can help limit the spread of COVID within our community. Please report any quarantines or isolations to your child’s Building Principal or Student Services Department. This information, along with effective contact tracing, will help us to safely reopen our buildings.

Thank you for your partnership and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
All of our plans are subject to change based on evolving conditions, data about the status of the pandemic, and updates, guidance and orders received from public health and government officials.
