Reminder: School is not in session on Labor Day - Monday, September 7.
We will resume our Hybrid Pathway and Jonathan Alder Digital Academy schedules on Tuesday, September 8. Our ultimate goal remains returning to traditional school full-time. We monitor and assess all aspects of our Decision Framework daily and are in constant contact with our local health officials.
Last week the Governor announced that schools will be required to report both staff and student COVID-19 cases to families beginning Tuesday, September 8. We are reviewing the ODH “Director’s Order Requiring Reporting and Notification Regarding COVID-19 Cases in K-12 Schools,” which was released this afternoon, and are working to develop a dashboard for our website.
The District and Health Department will additionally notify families when someone tests positive for the virus in their respective building. The Health Department will conduct contact tracing immediately and notify families if their child has had close contact with the individual. The identity and other protected information about the staff member or student will not be released unless it is necessary to do so, and then only to close contacts or as part of contact tracing through the Health Department as deemed appropriate.
