General Information for both Alder and Tolles Students

August 2025

Dear Seniors and Parents,

      Congratulations on making it to your senior year! We hope your year is filled with learning, preparing for your future, and lots of fun. We would like for you to be as informed as possible about the senior events for the Class of 2026. We are including most of the information below. Some other ways we will pass along information include:

  • posting information on the school’s website

    • go to high school, then clubs and class information, then senior class

  • announcements made at school

  • signs posted at school

  • District Alert System

  • graduation information will be shared in the May edition of Parent e-News.

Important Dates for the Class of 2026 Students who Attend JAHS and Tolles

September: Please see a class officer with any ideas you have for a class gift or motto. These will be voted on via email.

September 5: Senior sunrise

October 6-17: T-shirt sales. The first of two senior t-shirts will go on sale. 

October ?: Cap and Gown Order collection

January 12-30: 2nd T-shirt sales. T-shirt orders for the senior signature shirt will be taken by class officers and Mr. Carpenter and Mrs. Marling

April 6-24: Cedar Point Trip Sales. Mr. Carpenter and Mrs. Marling will collect money and sign students up for the Senior Trip to Cedar Point.  Tickets will be $35. The trip date is Friday, May 23rd. We will take a charter bus to and from Cedar Point that day.  

May 19: Senior cookout. There is no cost. Caps and gowns will be distributed at this event. Tolles students are released for this activity. 

May 19: Last Regular Day for Seniors

May 20 and 21: Senior Exams

May 22: Cedar Point Trip. We will take a charter bus to and from Cedar Point that day. Dress for the weather, and know that students are responsible for their own meals (only credit cards, Apple pay, and Google Pay are accepted for transactions at the park; no cash will be accepted). Buses will leave the high school promptly at 7 am and return at 10:30 pm. Students not attending the trip will attend school that day. Tickets must be purchased during April. 

May 27: Senior Awards Assembly This ceremony is for seniors at 7 pm at the high school. You will receive notice if you need to be present. Business dress is required. 

May 28: Mandatory Graduation Practice at 9:45 am. Make sure you call off work if needed and make any arrangements to be here on this day, as it is mandatory for participation in the graduation ceremony. Practice usually lasts until about 11:45 am if all goes smoothly.  

May 31: Graduation! Seniors should arrive no later than 1:30 pm. Graduation begins at 2pm.
