As we are bringing our students back full-time, we are also opening our Board Meetings for in-person audiences and public participation beginning in October. The meetings will follow COVID-19 social distancing and safety protocols. In order to make the meetings available to the larger public during this time, a link will still be available on our District Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/AlderSchools).
For the time being, meetings will be held in the district’s largest meeting space, Jonathan Alder High School’s Auditeria. The maximum capacity with social distancing is 95. We will be accepting visitors on a first-come, first-served basis if we reach that capacity. All health and safety rules apply for board visitors including self-screening prior to arrival and wearing a face covering. Please see our Health and Safety Plan
for more details.
Although public participation is not required, the Jonathan Alder Board of Education offers it as part of its traditional meetings to maintain accountability to the public. The Board will receive public participation in-person from visitors. Meeting agendas are posted here on the Board of Education page. Please keep in mind that the Board will not be able to see comments posted on Facebook Live so they may not be addressed during meetings. As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to your building administrators or central office.
