Amazon Web Services (AWS) in collaboration with the State of Ohio Governor’s Office on Workforce Transformation, will host Fiber Broadband Awareness Week, February 27 through March 3, 2023.
The goal of the collaboration is to support the workforce ecosystem around fiber needs in the state. Events in the final week of February/early March will include Fusion Splicing workshops, which will be offered free to residents seeking new career skills. These two-day workshops are industry recognized. Employers including Team Fishel, will be on site at graduation from the workshop to discuss jobs and career options with the newly gained skills. Workshops are offered at Tolles Career & Technical Center or PAST Foundation.
