All smiles as our #alderFAMILY welcomed Chris Nikic to the district on November 26th! Chris is the first person with Down syndrome and the first Special Olympics athlete to complete the 140+ mile Ironman. He spoke to CMS, JAJHS and JAHS students about his journey and the 1% Better Habit. Special thank you to the Jonathan Alder Education Foundation for making this event possible!

JAJHS welcomed Tim Harman and Holly Tong as guest speakers in our Future-Ready series. Tim and Holly shared the importance of beginning to, “start paying attention to what energizes you vs. what drains you,” as students start to evaluate their passions and skills. One week ago, JAJHS students and staff were honored to gather to recognize our nation’s veterans. Our students again participated in a meaningful assembly that included a performance by the 8th grade choir, student essay and artwork presentations, book presentations, and the history of Veterans Day. Our guest speaker was from Honor Flight Columbus and spoke to our students about the veterans they serve and the ways we can share our appreciation. #BetterEveryDay
