Jonathan Alder Local School District remains dedicated to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for all students and staff, and we are excited to welcome two experienced safety professionals to our district this school year!
Officer Mike Cannistra steps into the District Student Resource Officer (S.R.O.) role this August, bringing a 25-year law enforcement career to our schools. His extensive background includes serving as a Deputy Sheriff with the Madison County Sheriff's Department and leading community policing initiatives. In addition to his law enforcement experience, Officer Cannistra has spent many years as a youth sports coach, combining his passion for student mentorship with a strong commitment to campus safety.
Officer Chris Morris serves our district through an outside safety solutions agency. He brings over 10 years of broad security leadership to the district, including four years managing facilities, events, and security for a local K-8 school and church community. As a husband and father of four school-aged children, Officer Morris is eager to build positive connections across our schools while helping ensure a safe, worry-free learning environment every day.
We are glad to welcome both Officer Cannistra and Morris to the Alder Family as they work every day to support and protect our students, staff, and school community!
