Monroe Elementary's 2nd grade students did an amazing job sharing what they have learned this year in music class. It was songs all about friendships last night at their music performance.

On March 27th, Monroe Elementary and our PTO welcomed two amazing authors, Marie Weller and Paula Vertikoff, creators of the Cranium Critters series. Our students participated in an engaging presentation focused on understanding their feelings and learning strategies to manage them.

Monroe’s fourth grade students had a blast on their field trip today to United Skates of America! This exciting experience included a STEM lesson focused on force, motion, and energy transfer, giving students a hands-on opportunity to connect science concepts to real-world applications. The trip ended on a fun note with roller skating, where students were able to put those concepts into action while enjoying time with their classmates.

Today our Monroe 4th grade girls in the ROX program had an exciting lunchtime learning experience!
We were thrilled to welcome Shelly Roach, Animal Registrar, and Katie Flesch, Assistant Animal Registrar, from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. They shared all about their careers working behind the scenes at the zoo and what it takes to care for and keep track of the animals.
Our girls were highly engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and loved learning about the many different career paths available in the animal world. 🐾
One fun fact they learned? Golden retrievers actually work alongside cheetah cubs at the zoo to help build their confidence as they grow. How amazing is that?
What a wonderful opportunity to connect career exploration with real-world experiences!
