Do you know anyone who would be interested in teaching the game of soccer at recess?

Monroe Elementary extends a heartfelt THANK YOU to our school community! We're incredibly proud of our readers and grateful for your support, which made our fundraiser a success. Our students had a wonderful time reading. We can't wait to host another Read-A-Thon next year! We raised 6,865.60 for our school. The fundraiser will remain open for 10 more days so please submit in final donations before it ends.
Thanks again,
Monroe Elementary

Monroe staff knows how to have fun! 🎉 We had a great time tailgating with delicious food before cheering on the Jonathan Alder football team. 💚🖤

A huge thank you to Kelly Hicks! Each year, Mrs. Hicks visits Monroe Elementary to share her knowledge about the Preamble of the Constitution with our 4th grade students in honor of Constitution Day. We are so grateful for the time she volunteers, and we loved having her visit Monroe again this year!

Miss Vaughn’s and Ms. Maust’s classes enjoyed the warm sunshine yesterday while adding to their Read-A-Thon minutes!

"Mrs. Cain’s class is diving into their books and racking up those reading minutes today!"

We're thrilled to announce that our Read-A-Thon is underway! We're counting on you to make it a success. If you haven't already, please take a moment to activate your child’s personal reader page by clicking on the following link:

A HUGE thank you to Main Street Treasures! 💚 They organized a 4th grade fundraiser so every one of our kindergarten students could get an Alder shirt. What an amazing gift for our Monroe community! 👕🎉

What a wonderful morning celebrating Grandparents/Special Friend Day at Monroe Elementary! 💙 We had an amazing turnout, enjoyed plenty of donuts and drinks, and had fun with our donut-themed stations. A big thank you to all who were able to join us for this special Monroe tradition—we loved seeing so many smiles and connections across generations!

Don't forget that Friday morning from 8:10-8:40 is Grandparent's/Special Friend Day at Monroe Elementary. Just a reminder that if students are attending, they should ride with their grandparent/special friend to the event and students will stay afterwards for a typical school day. Thank you!

Our One Word: CONNECT
This year, we’re focusing on building stronger relationships, learning, and community — so every student, family, and staff member feels a true sense of belonging.

We had the best morning with the JAHS band at Monroe! 🎶 Our students love this tradition every year. The high schoolers even squeezed in a little playground time, and Mr. Polston got to enjoy a sweet moment seeing his daughter. 💚
