Request for Bids
The Jonathan Alder School District Board of Education is soliciting sealed competitive bids from qualified contractors for Tree / Brush removal from the 12 acre site north of Jonathan Alder High School. Contractors must be licensed and bonded. The project will include:
Phase 1: Clearing and Removal of Underbrush and Trash
Phase 2: Clearing and Removal of Trees (Must be done in compliance with ODNR)
Phase 3: Removal of Tree Stumps
Respondents should have experience with public schools. One bid for both labor and materials is requested. The expected budget for this project is $150,000.
Interested firms may obtain a copy of the RFP directly through Mr. Jordan Lester, Director of Operations, at lesterjo@japioneers.org , 614-873-5621. Proposals must be submitted electronically. Electronic copies shall be submitted to Jordan Lester, Director of Operations at lesterjo@japioneers.org as one PDF file, named with the proposer’s name and the title of the project. Prevailing wage rates do not apply. Submittals must be received by 12:00 p.m. (EST) on August 12, 2026. A pre-proposal meeting will be held on August 3, 2026 at 1 pm local time at Jonathan Alder High School located at 9200 US 42 S, Plain City, OH 43064. Bid opening at the District offices located at 9200 US Route 42 S. Plain City, OH 43064 on August 12, 2026 at 12 pm.
Financial Statement
The financial report of the Jonathan Alder Local School District for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, has been completed. This report is available for inspection at the office of the Treasurer, Jonathan Alder Local School District, 9200 US Route 42 S Plain City, OH 43064.
