Monroe Elementary Playground Equipment
The Jonathan Alder School District Board of Education is soliciting sealed competitive bids from qualified contractors for replacing the playground equipment at Monroe Elementary School. Contractors must be licensed and bonded. The project will include:
Demolish and dispose of the existing playground unit (main structure).
Furnish and install a new playground unit of similar size and configuration.
Respondents should have experience with public schools. One bid for both labor and materials is requested. The expected budget for this project is $90,000.00.
Interested firms may obtain a copy of the RFP directly through Mr. Jordan Lester, Director of Operations, at lesterjo@japioneers.org , 614-873-5621. Proposals must be submitted electronically. Electronic copies shall be submitted to Jordan Lester, Director of Operations at lesterjo@japioneers.org as one PDF file, named with the proposer’s name and the title of the project. Prevailing wage rates do not apply. Submittals must be received by 12:00 p.m. (EST) on April 28, 2026. A pre-proposal meeting will be held on April 21, 2026 at 11 am local time at Monroe Elementary School located at 5000 OH-38, London, OH 43140. Bid opening at the District offices located at 9200 US Route 42 S. Plain City, OH 43064 on April 28, 2026 at 12 pm.
Monroe Elementary Repaving
The Jonathan Alder School District Board of Education is soliciting sealed competitive bids from qualified contractors for repaving of the parking lot at Monroe Elementary School. Contractors must be licensed and bonded. The project will include:
Mill existing asphalt across the entire parking lot and drive lane.
Install asphalt surface to milled areas
Install new curb section at the rear of the building/drive lane to improve drainage.
Repaint all parking lines, drive lanes, and pavement markings upon completion.
Respondents should have experience with public schools. One bid for both labor and materials are requested. Each bid shall include the price for milling the existing asphalt for the following dimensions: 1”, 1.5”, and 2” as separate line items. The expected budget for this project is $200,000.00.

Financial Statement
The financial report of the Jonathan Alder Local School District for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, has been completed. This report is available for inspection at the office of the Treasurer, Jonathan Alder Local School District, 9200 US Route 42 S Plain City, OH 43064.
