Congratulations to Plain City Elementary on being named a 2025 OAESA Hall of Fame School! This recognition is only given to 10 total elementary schools across the State of Ohio!

Hadestown: Teen Edition Production Receives Several CAPA Marquee Award Nominations
The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) announced nominees for its 2025 Marquee Awards. Jonathan Alder High School received several nominations for its production of "Hadestown: Teen Edition" and will be participating in the Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Ohio Theatre in downtown Columbus.

Junior High to Host Digital Information Night for District Parents and Guardians
Jonathan Alder Junior High is pleased to co-host an important event for ALL Jonathan Alder parents: Tech Savvy Parenting: Raising Kids in a Digital Age, an evening focused on the challenges and risks facing students in today’s digital world. Topics will include social media use, digital addiction, and online safety, including how to protect children from exploitation and harmful internet content.

Monroe Elementary Gives Sheltered Instruction Presentation to Board of Education
Monroe Elementary had the pleasure of hosting the April Board Meeting. During the meeting, Ms. Betha Maust and Mrs. Kelly Newman shared insights into an instructional strategy that is showing great promise for our English Learner (EL) students: Sheltered Instruction.

Canaan Middle Holds Annual Talent Show
Just before Spring Break, Canaan Middle School shone brightly with our annual 5th and 6th grade Talent Show. The event was a celebration of creativity and skill, featuring an impressive array of performances including song, dance, drawing, a pogo stick routine, and much more. Our students truly showcased their diverse talents and passions, making it a memorable event for everyone involved.

Baby Chick Season Has Sprung for PCES Kindergarten Classes
Our kindergarten students have been full of excitement as they participated in a hands-on science unit about the life cycle of a chicken! As part of their learning, each class received fertilized eggs and carefully monitored them in incubators over the past few weeks.

Getting Ready for Kindergarten
We are thrilled to prepare for the arrival of the Pioneers Class of 2038! If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2025, they will be eligible to join our kindergarten program for the 2025-2026 school year. Registration is open now.
