Monroe Teachers have learning more this week about how to help help our English Learner students in the classroom with some professional development Thank you to Alicia Dyer with Central Ohio ESC for helping us to grow.
Mrs. Yutzy's class was "mining" this week. These first grade students were learning about rocks and minerals, so after reading a story about the topic they used chocolate chip cookies to find "minerals." The best part, of course, was eating the cookies at the end of the activity.

Ms. Baird's fourth grade class enjoyed time in the Think Big Space. The students were learning about heat and energy and also got to enjoy apple pie.
