Dear Families,
I wanted to quickly inform you about a change regarding our upcoming Field Day. Due to the weather forecast predicting rain for most of the day this Friday, Monroe and PCES have decided to reschedule Field Day to Monday, May 20th.
We understand that this change may affect your plans, especially for parent volunteers who have graciously offered their time. We wanted to provide ample notice so that you can make any necessary adjustments to your schedules.
Your understanding and support in ensuring our students have the best Field Day possible is greatly appreciated. We are committed to providing a fun and memorable experience for all involved, and this adjustment will help us achieve that goal.
Thank you for your flexibility and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
You're Invited! The district will be hosting a Community Forum on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. For additional information on the event, please visit our website: https://bit.ly/4bzV90v

Monroe Elementary kindergarten students participated in Safety Town this week. This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn how to stay safe. The students were in small groups that rotated to different stations such as: bike safety, fire safety, water safety, hand washing, and poison control. Each kindergarten student received a bike helmet and a Safety Town graduation certificate. A special thank you to Mayor Jody Carney, The Madison County Sheriff Department, The Pleasant Valley Fire Department, The Plain City Police Department, The Madison and Union County Health Department, Nationwide Children's Hospital Poison Control and Plain City pool lifeguards for coming to share their knowledge with our students. This group of people volunteered their time to make a lasting impact on our students.
