To Jonathan Alder Staff, Families, and Community:

As we approach the Thanksgiving season, we have so much to be grateful for.  Gratitude comes to my mind as I look around and witness the outstanding academic and extracurricular progress by our students. I am grateful for the work our teachers, coaches, and staff have committed to as they work relentlessly throughout the second quarter of the 2025-2026 school year.

This fall has been marked by exceptional achievements across all our programs. A special congratulations is in order for our Volleyball team, whose incredible run in the post-season play finished their season as D3 Regional Runner-Up.  Our Cross Country program also celebrated the success of individual student-athletes who achieved impressive State Placements this year. Cheerleading hosted the Central District Competition and won the D3 Non-Building Traditional division. Furthermore, we are thrilled that our JA Football team continues its journey as they advance to the Regional Semifinals.  We also wish the best of luck to our talented student performers as they take the stage in for our JAHS Fall Play, Peter/Wendy, with performances on November 13 and 15 at 7 p.m. and November 16 at 2 p.m. at the Jonathan Alder High School Auditeria.

As we continue to navigate the final stages of the bond issue vote count, we want to express our sincere appreciation to everyone involved.  The level of leadership we have seen by our bond volunteers and chairs truly speaks to the commitment of our school community.

This is a dynamic process, and we are monitoring the remaining steps closely. We are profoundly grateful for the patience and strong support demonstrated by all our students, families, staff, and community members throughout this journey. We eagerly wait for the final, certified results and look forward to sharing them with you as soon as they become official.

Thank you again for your dedication to the future of our district.

In Gratitude,

James Miller Ed.D.
